Saudi Foreign Minister said Kingdom supports efforts to settle the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister stated that the Kingdom encourages and supports efforts to establish a political solution to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict and achieve security and stability.

During a meeting with his Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov in Riyadh on Tuesday, Prince Faisal stated that the Kingdom is willing to assist in such a solution.

He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position on the Russia-Ukraine situation, which is based on international law.

The two ministers also discussed bilateral relations between their nations and methods to strengthen them, as well as exchanged opinions on recent occurrences in the area and across the world, as well as steps made to address them.

During his visit to Riyadh, Lavrov also met with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, according to Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier that day, Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji of the Kingdom greeted him at King Khalid International Airport.
