Six people slain in an Iraq tribal dispute

• The fighting occurred in the southeastern province of Maysan, which borders Iran.

• In May, eight people were killed on the same land because people from the same tribe were fighting over land.

Six people, including a soldier, were slain in Iraq on Wednesday as a result of a dispute over agricultural property, according to authorities.

Saad al-Zaidi, a police spokesman for the area, said that the fighting in the Al-Uzair region, which is south of Amarah in the southeastern province of Maysan, went on for many hours.
