US Navy stated on Tuesday that its personnel had a heated encounter with Iran Revolutionary Guard near the vital Strait of Hormuz.

Monday, as the USS Sirocco and USNS Choctaw County, went through the narrow mouth of the Arabian Gulf, they came into “unsafe and unprofessional” contact with three Coast Guard ships. This was said by the Navy’s 5th Fleet in the Middle East.

The Navy reported that one of three Guard fast craft raced the Sirocco head-on before changing course. The Navy reported that the Sirocco also fired a warning flare during the encounter.
