U.S authorities, who say the $300 million Amadea is owned by sanctioned Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov, has arrived in Hawaii, Refinitiv Eikon vessel tracking data showed.

In an effort to put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the conflict in Ukraine, the KleptoCapture task force of the U.S. Justice Department has concentrated upon seizing yachts and other luxurious assets of Russian oligarchs.

It had taken an 18-day cruise from Mexico to reach Fiji, where it was captured, on April 13. In an affidavit, the FBI said that the ship disabled its automated information systems on February 24 in an effort to evade capture. This action occurred practically immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine.
