In the past week, military forces from Ukraine liberated two towns in the Kryvyi Rih and Kurakhove directions.
During a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine, Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Department of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, made the crucial comment.
“Our forces strive to undertake offensive operations and harm the enemy in particular locations while still maintaining defence along the whole contact line. The Defense Forces liberated and took control of Potiomkine in the Kryvyi Rih direction over the previous week, as well as Pavlivka in the Kurakhove direction, according to Hromov.
Russian forces in the Donbas follow a “scorched earth” strategy, which involves using artillery to demolish communities in order to take them more quickly. However, the Ukrainian military are prepared to answer.
“Currently, the Defense Forces are conducting relevant operations, including with the use of weapons we received from our partners. Counterbattery activities are underway; enemy command centers, ammunition, arms and fuel depots get destroyed. Our strikes are not as massive as those launched by the enemy, but they are much more accurate. The enemy suffers significant losses,” Hromov noted.
