Yair Lapid, a journalist-turned-politician, is Israel’s caretaker prime minister ahead of the November elections.

People say that the 58-year-old leader put together the coalition that got rid of Benjamin Netanyahu after he had been in office for a record 12 years.

He is now getting ready for elections in November so that he can’t form a government again.

Lapid, a guy of many abilities, has grabbed international attention despite the political upheaval. In the 1990s, he ran one of Israel’s best talk shows, which made him a well-known figure.

The “Being Israeli” columnist-commentator reportedly acquired a solid public presence in a decade as head of “Yesh Atid.” As per reports, he created music and appeared in films before entering TV.

He worked for Israeli-U.S. tycoon Arnon Milchan in Hollywood and is an amateur boxer.

The leader has written screenplays. He wrote the 2005 Israeli TV series “War Room,” about elite spies and military officers. The show was about experts handling national issues, not politicians.

His father, Yosef “Tommy” Lapid, survived the Holocaust. He eventually became a secular politician.
