According to authorities, a guy wanted in connection with the murder of hip-hop singer Young Dolph a year ago handed himself in on Friday.

Jermarcus Johnson is the fourth person detained in relation to the shooting death of the hip-hop artist on November 17, 2021, close to the neighbourhood shop Makeda’s Homemade Cookies.

Johnson was listed as a suspect and sought for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder by Memphis police earlier on Friday. They asked the public for assistance in locating Johnson.

According to Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy, “We’re arguing that he helped one of the shooters escape and he helped one of the shooters get money for the solicited murder.”

Online court records did not seem to indicate that Johnson had a lawyer who could speak for him.
Previously, three other persons were detained and charged in relation to the homicide.
