Israeli PM Netanyahu apologizes to Qatar over Doha attack
WASHINGTON/DOHA: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized to Qatar for Israel’s attack in Doha, according to international media reports.
Sources said Netanyahu made the apology in a phone call to Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani from the White House. The call reportedly took place while Netanyahu was meeting U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.
Another source confirmed that a Qatari technical team was also present at the White House during the discussions.
Observers see this development as an important step toward restoring ties between Israel and Qatar, which have remained tense in recent years.
