Trump Warns Hamas: Accept Gaza peace deal by Oct. 5 or face severe consequences
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has given Hamas until 6 p.m. on October 5 to accept his proposal to end the Israel-Hamas war, warning that if they refuse, they will be “hunted down and killed.”
In a post on Truth Social on October 3, Trump wrote:
“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. There will be peace in the Middle East one way or the other.”
Trump urged all innocent Palestinians to leave the area, assuring them that help awaited outside Gaza. He claimed the peace deal would “spare the lives of all remaining Hamas fighters” if they accept it.
The Israel-Hamas war began on October 7, 2023, when Hamas fighters attacked Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Since then, more than 66,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
Trump said Israel has already killed 25,000 Hamas fighters in retaliation for the attack. “We know who you are, and we will hunt you down,” he warned.
On September 29, Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled the peace plan at the White House, calling it a historic chance to end the war. The plan gives Hamas three to four days to respond.
Under the proposal, Hamas must release all remaining hostages within 72 hours, after which the war would end. The plan also includes rebuilding Gaza and allowing Palestinians who wish to remain in the territory to stay.
