ISLAMABAD: In another major strike against militant networks in Balochistan, security forces targeted a hideout in Panjgur district, killing five terrorists, including a key commander, during an intelligence-based operation aimed at disrupting activities linked to Fitna al-Hindustan, security sources said.
The operation was conducted in the Sarkani and Chhidgi areas of Panjgur under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, where security forces successfully engaged the militants and recovered weapons and ammunition from their possession.
According to security sources, the operation resulted in the elimination of five terrorists, including a key militant commander identified as Wazir, son of Jamal. The slain militants were allegedly involved in a range of criminal and terrorist activities, including robbery, extortion, kidnapping and attacks targeting local traders and residents.
During the operation, security forces recovered four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and a large quantity of ammunition from the militants.
Following the operation, a clearance operation is underway in the surrounding areas to identify and eliminate any remaining members of the militant network, the sources said.

Naqvi commends security forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised security forces for their successful intelligence-based operation in Panjgur and appreciated their professionalism and dedication in the fight against terrorism.
In a statement, Naqvi said the successful operation reflected the determination of security forces to eliminate terrorist elements and restore peace in Balochistan.
He added that the entire nation stood united with security forces in their efforts against terrorism, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting ongoing counterterrorism operations.
The latest action comes after security forces recently conducted multiple intelligence-based operations across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, eliminating 15 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij in different districts, including Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki.
Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two regions that have remained among the country’s major hotspots for militant violence, as part of efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and improve security conditions.
