ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of teachers for the society.

In his message on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, he highlighted the critical role teachers played in shaping the future by imparting knowledge, instilling values, and guiding students toward both personal and academic growth.

He also underscored the importance of providing teachers with the necessary resources and support to fulfil their duties, acknowledging the challenges they face in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape.

Gilani reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing the status of teachers, ensuring their well-being, and recognizing their pivotal role in the nation-building process.

On the other hand, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on World Teachers’ Day lauded the role of teachers in shaping the future of a nation.

In his message on “World Teachers Day” being observed on Saturday across the globe including Pakistan, he stated: “Dear Respected Teachers” I extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to each of you for your tireless efforts in shaping young minds and building a better future.

“Your dedication, passion, and commitment to education are the cornerstone of our society’s progress. You not only impart knowledge but also inspire, motivate, and nurture the next generation of leaders” the Education Minister mentioned.

Meanwhile, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized teachers’ contributions are invaluable, as they not only impart knowledge but also play a crucial role in character building and national development.

In a statement on World Teachers’ Day, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation for all teachers, whom he described as the architects of the nation dedicated to the education and upbringing of children.

However, Governor Kundi lamented the deteriorating condition of universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, attributing this decline to the provincial government’s incompetence.

Similarly, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that capacity building of the teachers and promotion of education was top priority of his provincial government.

In a message on the World Teachers’ Day, he said that teacher’s day was observed around the world on October 5 every year to pay tribute to them.

He said, ‘I am grateful to all my teachers, thanks to them, I am at this place today.’
