ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday evening, Aug. 23, held a farewell meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where the ambassador thanked Pakistan’s government and people for their warmth, support and cooperation during his tenure.
President Zardari praised Al-Malki for his efforts to strengthen the long standing brotherly and strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The president said Al-Malki had played an important role in improving relations between the two countries, especially in the political, economic and trade sectors. He also highlighted the importance of the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan.

The president expressed confidence that the strong foundation built for bilateral relations during Al-Malki’s tenure would continue to support and strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the coming years.
During the meeting, Al-Malki thanked President Zardari, the Pakistani government and the people of Pakistan for the affection, warmth and cooperation throughout his stay. The Saudi ambassador said he would always have great respect and regard for Pakistan and its people.

Al-Malki has served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan since 2017. During his tenure, he worked to strengthen relations between the two countries and promote cooperation in key areas.
President Zardari conveyed his best wishes to Al-Malki for his future efforts and success. He said Pakistan would always remain the ambassador’s second home.
