Coronavirus – US Reports Highest Deaths in a Single Day

The US has become the first country to report more than 2,000 deaths in just 24 hours.
According to the figures presented by Johns Hopkins University, there are more than half a million confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country whereas 2,108 people have died in a single day. The US is likely to surpass Italy as the country with most deaths.
However, experts frok coronavirus task force said that the outbreak is levelling off in the country.
Dr Deborah Birx said that the outbreak was stabilizing, but he warned, “As encouraging as they are, we have not reached the peak.”
The US President Donald Trump expects lower number of deaths than he predicted earlier i.e. 100,000.
