Prime Minister Imran Khan and United States President Donald Trump discussed coronavirus pandemic situation on a telephone call.

According to the  spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aisha Frooqui, both the dignitaries discussed challenges being faced by the international community due ongoing COVID-19 that has killed more than 175,000 people around the world.

They also exchanged views on the impact of coronavirus on global economy, and ways to mitigate it as well as they discussed regional issues and further strengthening bilateral cooperation of Pakistan and the United States.

The premier paid sympathies and condolences on the loss of  precious lives due to Novel coronavirus pandemic in the United States.

PM Imran also apprised Pakistan’s efforts to contain the spread of the COVID-19.

He said that Pakistan is facing dual challenges, overcoming the pandemic and saving the most poor segments of the population, from hunger due to coronavirus lockdown.

US President Donald Trump lauded Prime Minister Imran’s telephone call and also reassured US support to Pakistan in the efforts to fight  Coronavirus.

Trump offered to help in available ventilators as well as in the economic arena and also he offered to send the latest rapid testing matchine for Novel coronavirus to the prime minister as he learned about that the Prime Minister were tested for the virus, PM Imran thanked Trump for his gesture.
