
Karachi Transport Alliance announced to run transport from Monday.
President Karachi Transport Ittehad Irshad Bukhari said in a press conference that the transporters are facing financial difficulties due to the lockdown. We are announcing to run public transport in Karachi from June 1.
President Karachi Transport Ittehad said that the transporters have complied with the rules of Sindh government. We will also apply masks, sanitizers and sprays while following the SOPs.
Irshad Bukhari further said that drivers will be directed to implement SOPs. There is talk of bringing seat-by-seat passengers. The government should take action against those who violate the SOPs.
The government allowed traders to do business, he said. We had talked to the Minister of Transport a few days ago to give us a relief package.
The President of Karachi Transport Ittehad said that he had also talked to Saeed Ghani in this regard but the government assured him many times but still they did not allow the transport to run.
Irshad Bukhari said that we have decided that we will run transport now. We cannot starve our children.
