Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Omar has said that there will be no unannounced load shedding in Karachi from tomorrow (Sunday).
Talking to media in Karachi, Federal Minister Asad Umar said that some units of K-Electric, which run on more than one fuel in Bin Qasim, will be powered by furnace oil. The supply of the furnace oil has increased than before and this supply will be further increased.
Continuing, Asad Omar said, “I also want to make it clear that these decisions should not lead to the conclusion that it was the fault of the Petroleum Division, although it is not.”
All survivors have been compensated, CEO K-Electric said
After him, K-Electric Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Monis Alvi said that the families of all those who were electrocuted during the rains last year have been compensated.”

It may be recalled that 35 people were killed in monsoon rains in Karachi during July and August last year.
We will conduct an audit of overbilling from NEPRA, Governor Sindh
Later, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that mutual support was reiterated in today’s meeting and orders were also issued in this regard.
Governor Sindh said that in the case of overbilling, he would take it to NEPRA himself and we should conduct an audit. If overbilling is found, the CEO of K-Electric will refund.
He said that the agreements reached to end load shedding and there would be no unannounced load shedding in Karachi from Monday (July 13).
