Famous Saraiki folk singer Shafaullah Khan Rokhri has died of a heart attack in Islamabad.
He had been suffering from heart disease for some time and was stayed in the federal capital.
He was shifted from Islamabad to his hometown Mianwali where his funeral prayers were offered.
He sang many famous songs and also sang Ataullah Khan Issa Khelvi’s song ‘Aj Kala Jora Pa Saadi Farmaish Te’ in a new style which became very popular.
Fans and fellow singers expressed sorrow and grief at his death.
On his demise, renowned singer Naseebo Lal said that Shafaullah Khan was a talented singer who started his career by performing in private events.
Naseebo Lal said that she had the opportunity to listen to his performances on many occasions. His style was very good and his voice was very melodious.
In addition, music producer and composer Raza Shah said that Shafaullah Khan was not only a local singer but he had performed in many countries including the UK, Canada and UAE and was very popular.
He said that Shafaullah Khan’s song “Anj Lagda Ae Chan Mahiya” became a massive hit.
