PM Urges Overseas Pakistanis To Invest In Construction Sectors

Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the overseas Pakistani community to invest in new proposed major construction sectors, including the Ravi Front development project and the BANDAL ISLAND project.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Roshan Digital Account in Islamabad on Thursday, the Prime Minister termed Pakistanis living abroad as a valuable asset and stressed on the need to create favourable conditions for them to work for the development of the country.

PM Imran Khan said that loans, current account deficit and trade gap whose only solution to major problems is to generate income through economic activities.

He said that the construction industry can play an important role in boosting economic activities as more than 30 local industries Are directly related to it.

Roshan Digital Account is a major initiative of SBP for Pakistanis abroad, including the support of commercial banks in Pakistan.

For the first time in the history of the country, Pakistanis abroad will be able to open accounts in remote areas through a fully digital and online process without the need to visit any bank branch, embassy or consulate.
