Sahiwal: Child Rapist Sentenced to Death Three Times

In Sahiwal, the Sessions Court handed down a major verdict in the rape and murder case.

According to details, Additional Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor, while delivering a major verdict in the case of rape and murder, sentenced the convict Ali Sher to death three times.

Some time ago, the culprit raped and killed a seven-year-old girl near the bypass within the limits of Ghalla Mandi police station and threw her in the crops.

Today, the court sentenced Ali Sher to death three times after he was found guilty.

The court’s decision has been felicitated by the social media  users.

Note that, speaking at a private TV channel, Prime Minister Imran Khan called for chemically castrating the sex offenders. He was talking in reference to the motorway robbery and gang-rape case and Marwah case.

“It [rape] should be graded like murder, first degree, and second degree,” he said, adding that “Chemical castration should take place. I have been reading up on it, it happens in many countries.”

He said that when he became the prime minister, he was shocked to receive a briefing from IG Islamabad who told him that sex crimes were on the rise against women and children.

Citing the example of foreign countries, he stated that in foreign countries pedophiles are properly registered and tracked down by the governments. He further added that the government could also deal with rapists and sexual abusers are by handing them exemplary punishments.

“They should be hanged on streets,” he said. However, he maintained that the government later came to know that being an accord of the Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP) status by the European Union the government cannot practice the action of public hangings as it would not be acceptable globally.
