Prime Minister Imran Khan has felicitated the Christian citizens of the Pakistan on the occasion of Easter.

According to the details, Imran Khan on Sunday took to his Twitter handle and wrote:

Wishing all our Christian citizens a happy Easter.

Christians, who comprise 1.59 per cent of the population of Muslim-majority Pakistan, are celebrating Easter today.

However, this year Easter celebrations will be a bit different to exercise by the Church authorities due to the third wave of the novel coronavirus.

The government representatives, the health authorities and the church administrations have strictly advised all the churchgoers to strictly observe the Covid-19 related SOPs.

Moreover, special prayers for Pakistan, its people and for a relief from the deadly menace of Covid-19 will also be held in every church in the country.

Easter, Latin Pascha, Greek Pascha, principal festival of the Christian church, which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his Crucifixion.
