Finalisation of arrangements for Dubai Expo participation ordered

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has issued directives to finalise the arrangements by September 15 to participate in the Dubai Expo.

Chairing a meeting at the Committee Room of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade on Monday, he said, tourism and trade potential of the province would be highlighted at the global event.

The Steering Committee meeting reviewed arrangements for the participation in the Dubai Expo in November. It will approve the content for event participation.

Iqbal said that the government would fully participate in the event to inform the world about the investor-friendly environment in Punjab.

PBIT chief executive officer Dr Erfa Iqbal said that the government would facilitate the business community in getting visas for participation in the expo.

Punjab Information Technology Board chairman Asfar Manzoor, Industries and Commerce secretary Wasif Khurshid, PBIT directors and officers of relevant departments attended the meeting.
