Afghanistan national cricket team will travel to Sri Lanka from Pakistan. The players and staff have been issued visas by the Embassy in Kabul.

According to reports, the flights from Hameed Karzai International Airport, Kabul, after the Taliban took over the country. So, the Afgan national team will first travel by road to Peshawar, from there they will take the flight to Islamabad. They will then leave for Colombo, Sri Lanka, via UAE.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) will face another hurdle as Sri Lanka has imposed a nationwide 10-day lockdown on Friday.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has informed the ACB that they have to take permission from the government first before entering the country for the series against Pakistan, which is to take place in Hambantota from the first we of September.

PCB also postponed their training camp and squad announcement as ACB did not reveal the tour’s schedule and training plan.
