Telegram now supports group video calling
The long wait for group video calling on Telegram has come to...
Telegram has introduced many new features and improvements making its way to the popular messaging app.
Group video calling was a big update introduced last month. And now those sessions can have up to 1,000 viewers at a time.
This update's all about video. Up to 1000 viewers in video calls, adjustable video playback speed, high-quality video messages and more. https://t.co/JIpUjnBwtF

The maximum number of people able to participate in a group video call is still 30, but now you can have a large audience for anything from online lectures to live rap battles, according to the company.
With the new update, videos can be shared at a higher resolution, and you can tap them for larger viewing.
The audio will now keep on playing while recording the video, Telegram says, “so you can now sing along to your favorite songs or reply without pausing your podcast.” Zooming in is also possible now while recording a video through the rear camera.
Screen sharing for one-on-one video conversations (including a voice from whoever is transmitting), the option to auto-delete messages after a month (the longest option was previously a week), and more precise drawing are among the other new features.
Telegram has also added animations to the passcode screen and when sending messages on Android; these message animations were already available to iOS users in a previous release. Visit Telegram’s blog for a complete list of changes.
