Two stray dogs discovered on the runway of Jinnah International Airport Karachi were shot and killed afterward, while a passenger onboard a plane reportedly recorded the entire incident. The discovery was reported on the evening of August 23 by airport authorities, who confirmed the incident. Later, the dogs were shot by bird shooters.

Imran Khan, the Karachi airport manager, submitted a letter to Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani, requesting that rubbish collection points be removed from the airport’s vicinity. He stated that immediate action was necessary to protect the safety of visitors traveling to and from the city.
