Netflix’s “Play Something” button, a shortcut that takes matters out of your hands, has been available for a while and queues up a show or movie based on what its recommendation engine believes you’ll enjoy.

Now, in order to make this high-tech more user-friendly, FireTV has introduced a new feature that keeps it running smoothly. Amazon has added a new shortcut for Alexa, and here’s how it works:

How to use “Play something with Alexa”:

  1. Make sure you’re using Fire TV with a voice remote (or Fire TV Omni model with hands-free voice control).

  3. Just say “Alexa, play something on Netflix,” using your voice.
  4. It will begin playing content for you if you have a valid Netflix account on your device.

It’s as simple as that; all you need to do is to have a valid Netflix account.
