QUETTA: The trend of decline in coronavirus cases continues in Balochistan as Covid-19 positivity ratio was recorded at zero per cent on Monday in the province.
The Balochistan Health Department said no Covid-19 case was reported across the province during the last 24 hours. Last day, 337 people were tested for the viral disease and 229 had tested negative, while reports of 108 other people was not received till filing of the report.
The health department said confirmed cases of coronavirus in the province had reached 32,407, while 31, 935 of them had recovered.
As a significant shrinkage in infection of coronavirus is being witnessed, six people died of Covid-19 across the country in a single day.
According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC)’s statistics, 240 positive cases were reported on Sunday after 32,466 tests. So, the positivity ratio remained at 0.73 per cent.
On November 14, the NCOC had decided to stop giving jabs of the Covid-19 vaccine to children aged 12 to 15 years.
The principal governing body, implementing the national COVID-19 efforts, has decided to temporarily suspend the vaccination of 12 to 15-year-old children from November 15 to 27, BOL News reported. The vaccination has been suspended due to the national anti-measles and rubella vaccination campaign which will continue from November 15 to 27.
