ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain acclaimed Islamabad local court decision on Friday over the leaked viral video case involving the accused Usman Mirza.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader while taking to it to Twitter wrote, “Despite the deviation of the victim girl and youth in Usman Mirza case, the decision to life sentence the culprit is welcoming”.

Fawad Chaudhry underscored that provision of justice was prerequisite for development of any society.

Usman Mirza was given life imprisonment along with his five aides – Muhib Bangash, Adraas Qayyum Butt, Hafiz Ataur Rehman and Farhan Shaheen. While two suspects – Umar Bilal and Rehan – were acquitted because of lack of evidence.

It’s worth noting that in July of last year, a video showed the primary accused in the case, Usman Mirza, severely thrashing and tormenting the young couple in a room full of other males leaked on social media.
