Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed talking a private TV channel condemned the action of PTI workers and said that he has ordered police to arrest the PTI workers and MNAs who stormed Sindh House.

He said that nobody would be allowed to violate the law and disturb the peace situation.

Earlier, the protest started off peacefully at the beginning, it soon took a violent turn as demonstrators broke the gate open and stormed inside the Sindh House.

A number of PTI workers came there to demonstrate outside the lodges. They chanted slogans against the PTI disgruntled MNAs and Opposition.

Later, talking to media persons outside the Sindh House,  PPP stalwart Sharjeel Memon strongly condemned the attack on Sindh House and warned the federal government of harsh response.

He blamed that Imran ordered this attack as he realised he had lost the majority in Parliament. He asked the federal government not to provoke the PPP otherwise they would severely retaliate it.

He also demanded Interior Minister Sheikh resign as he utterly failed to provide security to Sindh House, adding they consider the attack on the Sindh House as an attack on the Sindh province.

Memon lambasted that the government assets were assaulted by the PTI activists, adding that Islamabad police officials played the role of silent spectators in the current situation.

He feared that the lives of PPP MNAs came in danger due to PTI workers’ attack if they were not stopped by the Sindh police officials.

It was also learned that PTI dissident lawmakers, who were staying at the Sindh House, had been shifted to unknown locations.

Sharjeel Memon said that cases would be registered against these two MNAs, who led the PTI workers and incited them to attack the Sindh House.

The demonstrators held placards and posters depicting the faces of the MNAs covered in black ink. A huge crowd blocked the road and chanted slogans against the MNAs.
