
DC United sack Losada as coach
D.C. United, mired in a 4-match Major League Soccer dropping streak, sacked second-yr Argentinian train Hernan Losada on Wednesday.
United appointed assistant Chad Ashton as interim supervisor, a position he held at some stage in the final month of the 2020 campaign after Ben Olsen departed.
Losada, 39, arrived from Belgian top-flight aspect Beerschot in 2021, taking on a crew in which Olsen had been at the helm for a decade.
He compiled a record of 16 wins, five draws and 19 defeats in his 15-month tenure.
United are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference table as the season heads into its eighth week. Last season they finished a point outside the MLS Cup playoffs line.
They did reach America Open Cup fourth spherical, beating third division facet Flower City Union three on Tuesday.
United’s pass marked the second MLS education exchange this week after San Jose Earthquakes parted methods with Matias Almeyda on Monday.
