After a “carnage” horror collision, a man was killed and a lady was left fighting for her life.
The crumpled wreckage of the flipped automobile following the crash in Yardley, Birmingham, is shown in dramatic photos.
When a red Mazda collided with a silver Mercedes on one of the city’s busiest roadways, the horrible catastrophe occurred.
Just before 7 p.m. on Friday, emergency services were summoned to the A45 Coventry Road in the Yardley district of the city.
The image was described as “total carnage” by a store worker, who added that the Mazda was “sent flying.”
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” he remarked. “I’m not sure how anyone got out of the red automobile.” At the best of times, this road resembles a racetrack. It’s simply really heartbreaking.”
The “horrendous” collision, according to another eyewitness, left them scared.
“I’ve been here for ten years, and that’s the worst occurrence I’ve ever seen,” they added. It’s jolted me.
“One automobile landed on its roof, according to my son.” The second automobile was in Pocket Park, which is a little grassy area with a walk-through.
“I summoned the emergency services myself.” Three fire engines, three ambulances, two quick response vehicles, and about a dozen police cars were blocking the route.
“They were putting forth a lot of effort.” There was a lot of activity.”
The death of a man in his sixties, who was a passenger in the Mazda, was verified by West Midlands Police.
His wife is said to have been gravely hurt but is still alive.
The Mercedes driver was also transported to the hospital.
“Our investigations into this incident are still in the early stages,” said DS Chris Ridge of West Midlands Police. “We are attempting to uncover precisely what transpired in the minutes leading up to this man’s awful death.”
“Specialist police are assisting his family in coming to grips with this dreadful news.”
“We also wish to thank everyone for their patience while the route was blocked overnight.” “All of them have since reopened.” We are requesting information from anyone who observed the collision or spotted either the white Mercedes or red Mazda in the seconds preceding it.
“We also encourage you to contact us if you have dash cam or CCTV evidence.”
