Fearing that his large group of friends wouldn’t all be permitted access to the packed XOYO club in London’s Shoreditch, the actor pulled the stunt lately.
Matt Smith is one of the most well-known performers in the UK, thanks to his appearances in Doctor Who and The Crown.
But, on the off chance that he isn’t recognized, Matt has devised a clever scheme to ensure that he can still gain access to the most exclusive venues, says Halina Watts.
He does not engage in mundane tasks such as queuing… Instead, Matt offers to take pictures with door employees in order to gain access to the city’s premier nightclubs.
Matt – who will next be seen in the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon – allegedly pulled the stunt at the popular XOYO club in London’s Shoreditch, which is known for electronic music and raves – is said to have done it recently.
A source revealed: “Matt was having a great night out with a big group of friends and colleagues but worried that because of the size of their party, they’d struggle to get in.
“Normally, he’s not one to pull the celebrity card and finds it all a bit embarrassing. He’s certainly not a demanding diva but, on this occasion after a friendly nudge from some pals, he couldn’t resist using his fame to ensure their night out wasn’t cut short.
“Of course, he made sure to do it very discreetly and even made a joke of it so no one thought he was up himself.
“The door staff found the funny side, and were more than happy to oblige.”
