Actor Simu Liu has released a note in which he recalls thinking his ‘life was ended’ ten years ago after being dismissed by his business in Toronto, Canada. Simu came to Instagram to share a lengthy post on the incident that occurred in his office. He also claimed that he raced around ‘like a headless chicken’ for four of the ten years as he sought to ‘find out how to break into the industry,’ suffering with credit card debt and taking any job. Simu Liu also stated in his post that he would still find purpose and meaning in the ‘pursuit of achievement on my own terms’ even if he hadn’t been cast in two ‘life-changing roles.’ In the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, he played the titular superhero Shang-Chi (MCU). According to Simu’s message, “It will soon be April 12th, the day I was fired from @Deloitte. I owe my life to being fired from a job I despised. Accounting is not my strong suit.”
