A$AP Rocky on fatherhood: ‘Raise Open-Minded’ Children

A$AP Rocky is expressing his opinions on parenthood in the hopes of raising children who are not prejudiced.

The rapper, who just welcomed a newborn boy with his girlfriend Rihanna, spoke to Dazed magazine for their summer 2022 edition about how he sees himself as a father and what he wants to impart in his children.

“I will constantly tell my children, even as adults, to never lose their imagination,” adds the 33-year-old.

“I truly enjoy watching cartoons, such as Teletubbies, Blue’s Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig, and Baby Shark.”

Rocky aims to “raise open-minded youngsters” and “not individuals who discriminate” as a parent.

“And I’m not attempting to describe a saint,” he says, “but basically, I simply want a cool child with cool parents.”

A source close to the pair told PEOPLE last week that the Diamonds singer, 34, and Rocky are adjusting well to their new duties as parents.
