Asia Cup Hockey 2022: Pakistan out of World Cup race after 2-3 defeat against Japan

Japan defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup Hockey Tournament. In addition to the next round of the event, reaching the Hockey World Cup depends on the match between India and Indonesia.

The main match of Asia Cup Pool (A) was played between Pakistan and Japan in which Japan defeated Pakistan by 3 goals to 2.

Pakistan competed twice but both goals were rejected. The first goal was rejected on the ground of foul due to 12 players being on the field.

Pakistan’s move to the Asia Cup Super Four will depend on the ongoing match between India and Indonesia. I will not even be able to qualify.

It may be recalled that in the first match of Pool (A), Pakistan lost to India in the last minute and tied the match 1-1.

In the second match, the national team scored 0-13 against Indonesia by scoring goals.
