Boris Becker’s daughter has stated that his prison sentence is ‘unfair’ to his little kid.
Anna Ermakova said that she wrote to the judge who sentenced her tennis champion father to two and a half years in prison for bankruptcy fraud.
For the sake of his 12-year-old son, Amadeus, she has requested leniency.
“I filed a petition to the court to convey my concern for my young half-brother, Amadeus,” she told an international news channel.
“After all, he is only 12 years old and would now be without a father figure during a crucial period in his growth.”
“It isn’t even close to being fair to him. It’s going to be challenging for Amadeus.”
Ms Ermakova also spoke to the channel, saying: “I will back him up and pay him a visit whenever I am able. I’m hoping that would help him pass the time a little easier.”
The former world number one and Wimbledon winner was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
The tennis legend was sentenced to prison after being found guilty of various insolvency-related offences in 2017.
He was found guilty of attempting to evade paying his obligations by concealing £2.5 million in assets and loans.
On June 21, 2017, the 54-year-old was declared bankrupt, owing creditors about £50 million for an unpaid loan of over £3 million on his estate in Majorca, Spain.
On Friday, Judge Deborah Taylor of Southwark Crown Court said he had shown “no humility.”
Becker has two boys with his first wife, Ms Feltus, Noah, 27, and Elias, 22, as well as Amadeus with his second wife, Dutch model Lilly Kerssenberg.
