The year 2022 has arrived with the arrival of Eid ul Fitr. The festival celebrations in Pakistan will commence on Tuesday May 3rd, this year. Eid ul Fitr is a Muslim celebration that commemorates the conclusion of Ramadan.

This implies that Muslims’ month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting during the holy month of Ramadan has come to an end. This is a significant celebration that takes place on the first day of Shawwal, the Islamic calendar’s tenth month (Hijri).

Muslims all around the world commemorate the occasion with great zeal and intensity. The Eid ul Fitr celebrations begin with the appearance of the crescent moon. To commemorate the holiday, many Muslims host sumptuous feasts in their homes. Even though Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of the month-long Ramadan fast, it is spread out over three days. Muslims wake up early on this day, perform Salat ul-Fajr, bathe, and put on ittar (perfume) and new clothes.

Following that, Muslims eat a hearty breakfast before walking out to participate in the special congregational prayers held on this day to seek the blessings of Allah. Choti Eid is another name for Eid ul Fitr. It is also known as Meethi Eid because delicacies such as seviyan, phirni, and kheer are prepared at home on this occasion. On this day, children are given Eidi (money or gifts) by their elders, making Eid ul Fitr even more special for them. To commemorate this festive event, many girls and women apply beautiful mehndi or henna to their hands (and feet).
In honour of Eid ul Fitr 2022, we’ve compiled a list of gorgeous mehndi designs to choose from for the occasion.
