Former Vice President Mike Pence decried planned protests by abortion campaigners outside Catholic churches during Mother’s Day weekend, just days after a draft Supreme Court judgment overturning the historic Roe v. Wade abortion case came out.

Pence spoke on Saturday before his graduating address at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia, in which he termed planned church demonstrations “unacceptable.”

“Every American, after all, has the right to peaceful protest, as provided by the Constitution. However, reports that church services may be disrupted on Mother’s Day are completely unacceptable “According to Pence. “And, as I’m sure is the case, I believe it’s equally critical that we ensure the protection and security of all members of the United States Supreme Court. However, I am certain that the Supreme Court will not be frightened.”

Pence described the Supreme Court leak as “despicable conduct,” emphasizing that those guilty must be held accountable. “I’ve long felt that Roe v. Wade was not only morally wrong but also severely legally defective,” Pence said on l, citing the late liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s admission that the ruling is difficult to defend on legal grounds.

I hope and pray that the majority of the court will restore the abortion debate to the states and the people of the United States, where it belongs. That, however, will not put an end to the abortion issue. Pence added, “It will just open up a new battlefield in the cause of life.”

“I believe we need to approach this moment with commitment and compassion,” he added, adding that this involves letting individuals who have been “caught up” in abortion culture over the previous 50 years realize that this is a chance for forgiveness, grace, and eventual healing for the country.

However, pro-abortion activists formed by the group “Ruth Sent Us” have released the addresses of the six conservative judges and vow to protest at their homes if Roe is overturned. White House did not urge abortion advocates to avoid visiting Supreme Court justices’ homes this week, instead noting that Biden supports “peaceful protests,” but that the administration has no “official U.S. government stance on where individuals demonstrate.”

Pence praised Chief Justice John Roberts’ statement last week that the leaked opinion in the case is “appalling,” but that it would have no bearing on the court’s eventual decision. “A leak of this magnitude is really disgusting,” Roberts remarked at an annual conference of attorneys and judges from the federal 11th Circuit in Atlanta on Thursday. “If the person behind it believes it will have an impact on our job, they are completely mistaken.”

“Chief Justice John Roberts’ remark that the leak, which was plainly intended to influence the Dobbs case’s result, would not harm the court’s work gave me hope. And I am certain of that “Fox News Digital spoke with the former vice president.

Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was real, according to Roberts, however, the draft dates from February and does not represent the court’s current or final decision. During the interview, Pence expressed his confidence in the eventual overturn of Roe, claiming that the three Trump-Pence selected Supreme Court justices will support the majority judgment as detailed in the draft brief.

“If this person’s goal was to affect the outcome of the case, they would be unsuccessful. Because I have faith in the conservative majority on the court, which includes three members selected under the Trump-Pence administration. But, regardless of the outcome of this lawsuit, I believe that we will never stop fighting until the Supreme Court of the United States overturns Roe v. Wade and gives our country a fresh start.”

During his graduating speech, Pence emphasized once more that the judges must consign Roe to “the ash heap of history where it belongs,” eliciting applause from the Christian school graduates and their families.
