Prince Harry and Prince Andrew will not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony as part of the opening celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee subsequent month.

The monarch could be accompanied on 2 June with the aid of “members of the Royal Family who presently venture respectable public obligations on behalf of the Queen”, a palace supply said.

The 96-yr-old Queen plans to wait for a few Jubilee activities, the palace stated.

But this won’t be confirmed till nearer the time, or even on the day.

There has been a hypothesis about who will take part in the iconic royal balcony scene, waving to the crowds at Trooping the Colour at some stage in subsequent month’s Platinum Jubilee weekend – which marks the Queen’s 70-year reign.

Buckingham Palace has said the Queen has determined this will be confined to “working royals” who perform reputable royal responsibilities and their children.

This rules out Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, although they go back to the UK for the Jubilee weekend.

Prince Andrew may also be excluded from the family group at the balcony, having stepped down from royal obligations in the wake of the now-settled sex assault case introduced against him within the United States.

The choice displays the precept that there will not be “half of-in, half-out” royals.

The Platinum Jubilee Pageant will see the re-look of the Gold State Coach, no longer visible on the streets of London for extra than 20 years.

This became the 18th Century horse-drawn carriage used to carry the Queen to her coronation in 1953.
