Ayan Mukerji says Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are a ‘natural and nice fit’ for ‘Brahmastra.’

• Ayan Mukerji feels Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the ideal cast members for his forthcoming film Brahmastra.
• In an interview with Good Times, the director of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani expressed his excitement about working with the Gangubai Kathiawadi star and her spouse on the mythology-based fantasy trilogy.

“I think a love story is there to talk about,” the 38-year-old filmmaker said, “and the thing about Brahmastra that you won’t understand right away but I hope you will take away is, that in many ways, at its foundation, Brahmastra Part One is also a love tale amongst being many other things.”

“And I suppose that is a really natural and wonderful match with Ranbir and Alia,” he continued.

The film, which will be released in theatres in September 2022, also has key performances by Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
