Taylor Swift discusses her song “All Too Well at Tribeca festival”

Before Taylor Swift took the stage at the Beacon Theater in New York at the Tribeca festival, fans greeted her with cheers and sang her songs.

With Mike Mills, writer, and director of “C’mon, C’mon” and “20th Century Women,” Swift addressed shifting into the director’s chair, the complexities of visual storytelling, and the possibilities of future film ventures at the 21st Tribeca Festival on Saturday.

She then stunned her audience by doing an acoustic set with special guests.

Swift’s Netflix documentary “Miss Americana,” which premiered at Sundance in 2020, wasn’t her first experience on the festival circuit, but it was her first time as a filmmaker.

“All Too Well: The Short Short,” a 13-minute film, was the result of that learning experience. The video, which was released in November to coincide with Taylor’s latest re-recorded album, “Red (Taylor’s Version),” added graphics and a fictitious tale to an extended version of “All Too Well,” a fan favorite from her 2012 “Red” album. The video has received over 67 million views on YouTube since its premiere.

“I don’t believe I meant just losing when I stated I was talking about losing stuff,” she explained.

“I’d love to,” she expressed her desire. “Writing and directing a film would be incredible.”
