After the passing of his first wife Huma, the talented Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram made news with the hugely known Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen.

Many Pakistani and Indian admirers at the time speculated that both Sushmita and Wasim however married in the future. But both put an end to the speculations after moving on with their lives. Sushmita Sen however moved on, and Wasim Akram married Shaniera, an Australian woman.

In a recent interview on Tabish’s show, To Be Honest. Wasim Akram admitted that they never intended to married with each other, exposing the truth behind their widely publicized affair.

We all used to think that Sushmita Sen would become our Bhabhi. But it didn’t happen, why? Tabish Hashmi asked.

Wasim Akram diligently replied to the question. He stated that yes we however very good friends, but we are no longer friends. Also, it is very difficult to travel to India and witness all the barriers, etc.

Wasim Akram retorted, “There was no plan man, there was no plan to marry and that’s why it didn’t happen.”
