
Head of Uvalde school police will leave the municipal council
- Arredondo just won a seat on the Texas city council for Uvalde.
- He showed up at Robb Elementary School a couple of moments after the shooter occurred.
The Head of the Uvalde school police department, Pete Arredondo has come under fire for his handling of the Robb Elementary School massacre. He announced that he will resign from the city council.
Arredondo just won a seat on the Texas city council for Uvalde. But he recently announced his intention to step out.
Although Arredondo has not submitted a letter of resignation to the city of Uvalde. Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin said in a statement that it is “the correct thing to do.”
Last month, the head of the school police however placed on administrative leave.
After much thought, I lament to illuminate the people who decided in favor of me that I have chosen to step down as an individual from the city gathering. Arredondo stated.
As we keep on lamenting over the misfortune that happened on May 24th. We appeal to God for the families in question and our local area,” he proceeded.
Uvalde has a rich history of cherishing and supporting the neighbors and we should keep on doing as such.

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steven McCraw considered the reaction a “contemptible disappointment.”
