Sunny Deol compliments R Balki on the precision of his work
Sunny Deol's upcoming film, "Chup," from director R Balki, also has Dulquer...
Gadar 2 director clarifies everything about Ameesha Patel’s alleged fight
Sunny Deol says it’s difficult to do a follow-up to a successful film like Gadar. “It was a challenging task to begin with, but I think people expect me to simply take things apart,” he says with a wry grin.
Dulquer Salmaan, who also appears in Chup, says, “A whole new generation will be introduced to this. Everyone born in the aughts is going to be thrilled to watch him dismantle stuff. Sunny Deol thinks it’s imperative that the makers re-release Gadar for a modern audience. So that the youth of today can see the video and decide for themselves what the ecstasy was like, “I think, they should put that out again on the big screen,” he said. And Dulquer concurs, saying, “After Chup, they should revisit Gadar.”
Sunny claims that many of his past movies might benefit from a sequel, but he has no interest in making sequels simply for the sake of doing them. Part two is where we make all the messes. A sequel is required if the script is strong, but it shouldn’t be made for the sake of making it. Still, he has high hopes for Gadar 2. Regarding the finished product, I have no doubts. Everyone I’ve talked to wants to see something, and in Gadar, we’re providing it for them. The filming will resume in October and end in December. “The release date is set for the beginning of 2023,” Sunny says.
Dulquer, who enjoyed the first instalment, responds enthusiastically with, “That’s wonderful.” It’s going to be so great, I can’t wait.
