A dancing video recently went viral, making TikToker Ayesha a star in her home country of Pakistan as well as in neighboring India. Pirzada is torn on whether or not Pakistani media should promote content like Ayesha’s “groovy dance,” which has been imitated by Bollywood heavyweights like Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit.

Singer Dahdi Kuree, who rose to fame thanks to the strength of her voice, recently gave an interview in which she spoke about the pernicious effects of social media and the questionable practices that have become commonplace there.

The vocalist of “Chori Chori” discussed the phenomenon of “viral videos” with host. Pirzada argued that as a culture, we are sinking lower and lower by celebrating the likes of male impersonators and female dancers for attention.

To fill in the blanks for the uninitiated, Pirzada was involved in a scandal that ultimately prompted her to convert to Islam.
