During his live performance on Day 3 of the 10th Karachi Eats event at the Beach View Park in Clifton, Kaifi Khalil expressed his disgust about the harassment of female fans in the crowd.

The Kahani Suno singer clarified the untrue claims that he “was injured” and provided an explanation for why his performance was shortened. On the last day of the Karachi Eats Festival, the young singer exited the stage in the middle of his performance, sparking rumours that he had been hurt.

In a tweet, Kaifi Khalil provided an explanation for his behaviour. The teenage musician expressed his gratitude for his fans’ “pure love and support.” He noted, “Hello everyone, I would just like to clarify the fake news that’s circulating around about me getting injured during my performance at the Karachi Eats yesterday, which is not true. I appreciate everyone being concerned about my wellbeing and inquiring about it, but I am totally fine!”

Khalil went on to say that the events of yesterday had left him feeling “disappointed and upset because of what happened yesterday” He continued by saying that some people had harassed female fans who had “came out to enjoy the evening with their family and friends”.

In addition to asking the event organisers to ensure everyone’s safety, Kaifi Khalil warned “to all the people that feel entitled and think it’s acceptable to act inappropriately and harass someone”.

Kaifi Khalil is a talented young musician from Karachi who is best recognised for giving traditional Balochi music a contemporary spin. He was undoubtedly 2022’s top up-and-coming artist.
