The Legend of Maula Jatt has dominated theatres worldwide since its premiere in Pakistan and the rest of the world in October 2022, and its post-COVID box office dominance of the Subcontinent is a miracle of Pakistani film.

The mega-hit film from the subcontinent that was directed by Bilal Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat had the largest box office take over the previous four years. In the fourth week after its release, the movie smashed all previous records by earning the most money ever made by a Punjabi film globally.

Prior to this, the movie broke a number of other records and earned a number of titles, including Highest Grossing Pakistani Film, Second Highest Grossing Subcontinental Film in the UK for the Year 2022, and Most Watched South Asian Film in Norway.
