Sindh High Court ordered to take down offensive content about Kubra Khan

• The Sindh High Court has ordered to remove objectionable content from the internet relating to Kubra Khan.
• The actress is being investigated by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
• The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for her alleged involvement in cyberbullying.

In Karachi. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have been ordered by the Sindh High Court (SHC) to take down offensive material about Pakistani actress Kubra Khan from the internet.

Adil Raja referred to these actresses by their initials (KK, SA, MK, and MH), but social media users immediately understood to whom the retired army officer was referring. Following Adil Raja’s video, people on social media began posting pictures of these women along with disparaging remarks.

Sajal Aly, Mehwish Hayat, Mahira Khan, and Kubra Khan—four prominent Pakistani actresses—reacted angrily to Adil Raja’s remarks and the subsequent character assassination on social media. Kubra Khan urged Adil Raja to recant his statement and publicly apologise within three days or prepare for defamation litigation in London.

Kubra Khan posted on Instagram on Thursday:

“The past four days.. have been so difficult for me and my family that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain in words. I couldn’t wrap my head around as to why anyone would do this to me.. even after it was clarified that my name or initials were misinterpreted why was I still getting bullied so ferociously. Even before I reacted.. why were my pictures being used in such a inappropriate manner.. and then I realized.. because no one’s ever put a stop to it. Because we’re so used to being quiet. Until this story die, another arises to do the same damage just because we didn’t speak up. But enough is enough
