Hira Mani, Nabeel Qureshi & others get robbed during shoot

• Some muggers attacked Pakistani celebrities.
• Nabeel Qureshi described the incident, saying the crew members were physically assaulted.
• His cast was being taunted and abused by a mob.

During a shoot in the port city, a group of charged muggers attacked Pakistani entertainment celebrities including actors Hira Mani, Gul-e-Rana, and film director Nabeel Qureshi, it was revealed on Monday.

In a series of tweets, well-known filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi described the incident, saying that as the crew members were being physically assaulted, his cast was being taunted and abused by a mob.

The event took place in the nation’s largest metropolis, which is dealing with a major law and order problem, in PIB Colony, Jamshed Quarter Martin Road. Qureshi disclosed the presence of Hira Mani, Salman Saquib Sheikh (Mani), Gul-e-Rana, as well as a number of other artists, including some young people, at the shooting location.

Armed guys broke into the home where they were shooting, harassed the female residents, took numerous people’s goods, and then managed to flee the scene.

Qureshi urged the authorities to punish the offenders harshly and protect the security of the performers.

Later, Hira Mani, a prominent actor who was also one of the victims, turned to social media to thank the crew member for rescuing the women and to wish them a swift recovery.

As the incident gained notoriety, a number of celebrities from the entertainment industry, including Mahira Khan, Ahsan Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, and others, condemned the violent act and spoke out for the safety of celebrities in the industry.

Hira Mani was robbed in her driveway outside of her home in 2021 while being held at gunpoint in broad daylight.
