“Money Back Guarantee” offers a crazy Fawad & unusual criminal comedy
The long-awaited release of Money Back Guarantee, directed by Faisal Qureshi, stars Fawad Khan, Jawed Sheikh, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Gohar Rasheed, and Ayesha Omar among many others in entirely new roles. Wasim Akram and his wife Shaniera Akram make their acting debuts in this crime-thriller/comedy.
The trailer opens with sudden glimpses into each character, presenting a cast you can root for. The video then transitions to a narration that establishes the mood of the movie: “Now the game we’re about to play will be very entertaining.” It then shows a prison in a desolate place with the voiceover, “What do you think, will the two of us get this job done?”
When its teaser was released, many have made comparisons between the upcoming movie’s concept and seeming execution with that of the well-known Spanish television series Money Heist. And now the series has received a shoutout in its trailer as well. It says, “‘Money Heist’ yet. The next scene has Fawad’s persona instructing some political party members. “What kind of impression will you make if you keep fighting like this before the elections? He is heard saying, “How are you going to obtain votes?” The next scene shows “Pak bank” and a group of robbers—our ensemble star cast—standing in front of its massive structure. Someone else is heard stating, “Sir, every drop of my blood is ready to bleed for these politicians.”
Afterwards, Fawad’s character brings Shaniera to Pak bank and ostensibly gives her a tour. All of the robbers and enemy soldiers are seen dancing in a montage of images as soon as a song begins to play. Another voiceover says, “If you guys are rich, accessing all that money will be easier for you guys.” The trailer then switches to images of Shaniera and Wasim’s characters dancing around a massive mound of cash inside a bank. As Mani’s character declares, “He is not creating us a dam, he is making a joke of us,” the scene then transitions to a police intervention. Then, we witness a manic Fawad beaming at the idea of something wicked. After a shootout and Fawad yelling, “Bring them back!, Dead or alive!” the trailer ends.
During Eidul Fitr, the ensemble movie will open in theatres.
