Omayr Waqar discusses lack of respect for makeup artists in showbiz

Glamour, styling, and cosmetics are synonymous with the entertainment industry. No performer can be on stage or in front of the camera without likely being dressed up, and the same is true for Pakistan’s entertainment business. In the past ten years, the beauty industry has expanded dramatically over the world, with several makeup artists becoming household names.  Omayr Waqar is an extremely outspoken individual who never holds back while speaking his mind. He is quite talented, and celebrities adore using his services for their makeup.

Omayr spoke on the lack of respect for makeup artists in the industry as a guest on Momina’s Mixed Plate. Even though they make up the majority of a professional shoots, he claimed that makeup artists are still ignored. He continued by saying that they don’t receive the respect they deserve and that their budgets aren’t increased. Omayr continued by saying that he shifted towards working with brides because that is where he receives the most attention and appreciation for the work he puts in.
